Route Surveillance / Damage Prevention Services / Plant Construction Inspection Services

• Monitoring designated routes/work locations as specified by AT&T Network Operations.
• Engaging and providing appropriate contact information to excavators.
• Verifying presence/continuity if AT&T field locate remarks.
• Comparing/validating project utilizing AT&T existing facility records as kept in mobile mapping, or EWO (if applicable).
• Informing Buyer of any missing or damaged facility or cable route signs.
• Notifying appropriate AT&T representative of excavation law violations.
• Working/Coordinating with contracts to keep locates ahead of digging activities and to stay ahead if AT&T cable relocation schedules.
• Must be readily accessible, preferable by cellular telephone (refer to related language in the ACAS General Agreement).
• Must be familiar with facility locating procedures, and the responsibilities of AT&T facility locate contractors. May at times be required to spot-locate facilities, requiring access to plant locating tools such as cable locator, laptop computer and mobile mapping software use by AT&T.
• Inspector's Manager will screen facility locate transmissions for situations where AT&T has high-profile (major) facilities at risk, as defined by AT&T and communicate to Damage Prevention Inspector to take additional action as needed to protect these facilities.
• In addition to providing contact information to excavators. Informing AT&T of apparent excavation law violators, and working with contractors to avoid potential damages due to projects, relocations, etc.
• Inspector may be asked to make proactive visits to frequent damagers and/excavators within that community as an AT&T liaison. These visits will be at the direction and request of AT&T, and written documentation of same will be provided by the inspector to AT&T.
• Inspector will be required to participate in damage post-mortem investigative activities where appropriate.
• Inspector will consult on-site with AT&T Engineering. Inspector will communicate said resolutions in a form that AT&T Engineering can utilize to effectively update our continuing property information.
• Inspector shall have access to a digital camera, lap-top computer and mobile mapping software in the field in order to consult AT&T's latest record and EWO activity as well as be available to AT&T for consultation.
• Must dress appropriately, as Seller's employees are representing AT&T.
